Using paysafecard safely

1.

paysafecard – as safe as cash, and just as valuable!

Data protection is a top priority at paysafecard. As you don't need to register or give bank account or credit card details when you use paysafecard to pay at a web shop, it’s a completely secure method of payment in every respect.

Not only is paysafecard just as secure and practical as cash, it's just as valuable as well. If you give your paysafecard PIN to someone else you give them access to the balance you've already paid for. That's why you should treat your paysafecard as carefully as you would a bank-note.

2.

Paying with paysafecard

When paying with paysafecard, only ever enter your PIN in the payment window of a paysafecard approved partner.
The following points will help you recognise an authorised paysafecard webshop:

  • The payment window's internet address begins with https://customer.cc.at.paysafecard.com/
  • The payment window's certificate is issued to "customer.cc.at.paysafecard.com".
You can check this by clicking on the padlock that's next to or inside your browser's address bar.

If you're not sure whether the website is trustworthy, please contact the paysafecard service team. We will be happy to check whether the site is trustworthy before you enter your paysafecard PIN.

3.

Purchasing paysafecard

If you want to purchase paysafecard online, please only buy it from one of the PIN shops recognised by us:
www.pinshop.paysafecard.com
www.wertkartenverkauf.com

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES buy your paysafecard from one of these websites or any similar ones:
www.paysafetr.com
www.pay-safer.de
www.paysafecardshop.de/

Only buy your paysafecard from authorised outlets whose addresses can be found on the paysafecard website in the Sales Outlet search.
On no account should you purchase your paysafecard from online market places like eBay, and do not take part in any swap deals on websites or forums under any circumstances. Swaps like these can often be a cover for fraud and paysafecard can't guarantee that you will get a valid PIN.

4.

Keep your paysafecard safe

Never give out your 16-digit paysafecard PIN to any third parties. You only need to enter your PIN when you're paying at a paysafecard-accepted web shop.
If you contact our paysafecard service team, you will only ever be asked for the serial number of your paysafecard and never for your full PIN.

5.

Blocking paysafecard balance

If you do lose your paysafecard or if it is stolen, it is possible to have it disabled. Phone your service hotline as soon as possible or e-mail info@paysafecard.com. You will need the serial number of your paysafecard, however. Your paysafecard service team will let you know what steps to take from there.
