Vienna/London/Zürich 14th June 2010
– paysafecard group, Europe’s leading online payment method provider, is the new official sponsor of DTM racing series driver Susie Stoddart. The current season, in which Susie is one of only two female drivers in a traditionally male dominated area, is her fifth at the German Touring Car Championship. At the latest race at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz circuit on June 6th, Susie achieved the best result of her DTM career and gained important points.

The German Touring Car Championship (DTM) is a race series for production based cars converted into racing cars. The drivers compete over several months in ten races in four European countries and one Asian. The official start of the DTM took place at the Hockenheimring in Baden-Württemberg on April 25th and this year’s season will finish with the race in Shanghai in November.

“The DTM is the world’s most popular international touring car race series. By sponsoring a successful driver like Susie we are reaching out to our target groups on top of our conventional activities,” explains Michael Mueller, CEO of paysafecard group. “We want to congratulate Susie for her fantastic race at the EuroSpeedway in Lausitz.”

The logo of the popular prepaid voucher paysafecard – which allows safe payments on the Internet without the need of personal bank details – adorns the racing overall and helmet of the 27 year old driver. Scottish-born Susie Stoddart, who is currently living in Switzerland, races for Great Britain this season. She is competing in motor sports since 1996. In addition to her passion for speed, Susie loves water sports and skiing.
