  1. What does paysafecard offer?

    What is paysafecard?
In short, paysafecard provides cash-to-internet transaction services through a network of more than 230,000 physical retail locations across 20 countries. paysafecard has excellent coverage through 19 European countries (Germany, UK, France, Spain, Austria, Greece, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Portugal, Denmark, Ireland, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Italy and Sweden) and has most recently also launched into Latin America with Argentina. As is evident, since founding in November 2000, paysafecard has continued to grow and expand on an international scale.

How does a consumer pay using paysafecard?
paysafecard is a prepaid voucher similar to a prepaid mobile top up voucher and can be purchased from more than 230,000 outlets across Europe and Latin America. Each voucher contains a unique 16 digit pin number that can be entered at the respective website as the form of payment. With 330 million Europeans without a credit card, and many consumers reluctant to disclose financial details on the web, paysafecard immediately allows merchants to reach millions of potential new customers, without the fear of chargebacks. For some of our largest European merchants paysafecard accounts for up to 35% of their payment volume - and for some, paysafecard has become the number 1 payment method, handling more payments than creditcards, debitcards and e-wallets.

With an extensive distribution network across 21 countries paysafecard is the clear European leader in the online ‘prepaid' market and is the only truly global prepaid operator. Argentina In addition, the paysafecard group are continuing to expand their global network both in existing and new markets.

  2. What are the preconditions for a partnership with paysafecard?

Becoming a merchant partner with paysafecrd is a straight forward and easy process:

Merchants must first complete a Merchant Information Form and sign a ‘Merchant Agreement'.

The Merchant Information Form and Merchant Agreement must be supplied together with copies of the Articles of Association and Certificate of Incorporation for the relevant contracting company (PDF-File via email plus posted copies to the paysafecard office in Vienna)

As part of our FSA-membership, we are legally obliged to review each partner before partnering with them therefore these docs must be completed in full.

paysafecard also supports multi-currency, therefore when completing the Merchant Information Form, a merchant should also confirm which currencies they would like for their merchant account(s) (i.e. which currencies are supported on the merchant website)

Once a merchant has been approved, they will be sent the API test data to begin a simple integration.
