- In the second half of 2008 paysafecard launches successfully in Portugal, Czech Republic, France and Poland and broadens its service for Europe.
- The british bank supervision FSA confers a e-money license on paysafecard

- This year saw a landmark in paysafecard, reaching an astonishing 10 million transactions over a 12 month period which has doubled from the previous year and growing at similar rates this year.
- This year also saw paysafecard accepted at over 2,500 online retailers across Europe with a large variety of online shops.
