1. What is paysafecard?
paysafecard is Europe’s leading prepaid payment method that you can use to pay for items online quickly and easily without having to disclose credit card numbers or bank account related data. For more information about paysafecard, please go to menu item “Inform”.
paysafecard is available worldwide from more than 280,000 sales outlets. You can find the nearest one in our sales outlet search.
To the top of the page2. How do I pay online using paysafecard?
Simply enter your 16-digit PIN in one of our 3,500 partner web shops. You can combine up to ten paysafecards per payment process and pay for items up to ₤1,000 online.
To the top of the page3. What does “in payment” mean, and how long is an amount in payment for?
As soon as you click on “Pay” in the paysafecard payment window, the amount will be transferred to the web shop. As a rule, the money will be available to the web shop within a few minutes.
If the web shop should be unable to carry out the transaction (e.g. due to technical problems), the amount will be credited back to your paysafecard. It will then generally be available to you no later than two hours after the transaction.
If after that period the amount in payment cannot be viewed on your paysafecard, please e-mail us the serial number of your paysafecard.
TIP: The precise length of payment can be viewed under menu item View credit, under “Details”.
To the top of the page4. Why was an amount debited from my paysafecard but not credited to the web shop?
Usually, a technical problem during the transaction triggers this rare error. If one hour later the amount has still not been credited to the web shop, please contact us.
Just send us an e-mail containing the following information about your paysafecard transaction, which you can view under “Details”: Serial number of your paysafecard, your e-mail address, the nickname you used to register with the web shop.
We will be happy to contact the web shop for you to ask for the transaction to be repeated.
5. How much credit do I have?
You can check your credit any time under “View credit”.
To the top of the page6. How long is my paysafecard valid for?
Your paysafecard has no expiration date. Your credit will therefore not expire either. There will however be an administrative charge after 12 or 24 months (see point 7).
To the top of the page7. Are there any additional costs or charges when I make purchases using my paysafecard?
For the first 12 months, paysafecard does not charge you an administrative fee.
12 months after you have used your paysafecard for the first time, and no later than 24 months after the production date, you will be charged an administrative fee of ₤2 per month, which will be deducted from your credit. The production date is printed on your paysafecard and in the credit overview.
To the top of the page8. Where can I use paysafecard?
paysafecard is accepted as a payment method by more than 3,500 web shops. Here you can find a selection of our partner web shops.
To the top of the page9. What do I do with the remaining credit on my paysafecard, and how do I pay for an amount that exceeds the credit on my paysafecard?
You can use the remaining credit to make other purchases. If the purchase price exceeds your remaining credit, you can simply use several paysafecards for the payment process. You can combine up to ten paysafecards per payment process and pay for items up to ₤1,000. In the payment window, simply click on “Enter more PINs”.
Tip: Under “View credit” you can find out your remaining paysafecard credit any time.
To the top of the page10. Can I cash in the credit on my paysafecard?
paysafecard credit can be transferred back. If the transfer is requested within two weeks of purchase, it is free of charge. After that, we deduct a processing fee of ₤6 from your credit.
For such a transfer we need a copy of your paysafecard, a copy of your ID card, your name and address as well as your bank details (including IBAN and BIC).
To the top of the page11. Can I protect my paysafecard with a password?
In order to further protect your paysafecard, you have the option to set a password.
Just use our credit overview and go to “Password Protection” in the menu.
This password is only valid for the paysafecard for which it was set. In the event that
you’ve forgotten your password, a security question will be asked. An active password
cannot be deleted.
12. Can I use my paysafecard to pay in currencies other than EUR (such as US dollars, pounds sterling, Danish krone etc.)?
You can of course use your paysafecard to pay in foreign currencies. Simply enter your paysafecard PIN in the payment window of the web shop in question. The amount is converted automatically. Our currency calculator tells you which currencies are accepted by paysafecard as well as the latest exchange rates.
To the top of the page13. What is a paysafecard Junior?
paysafecard Junior is a card for young people under 18. This card can only be used at web shops that are suitable for young people. If you were given a paysafecard Junior by your sales outlet by mistake, we are happy to exchange it. All we need is a copy of your ID card as well as a copy of your paysafecard Junior. Adults will then receive a new PIN straight away.
To the top of the page14. How secure is it to pay with paysafecard?
