Keeping your paysafecard safe

  • Never disclose your 16-digit paysafecard PIN to anyone, except when making purchases at genuine webshops (see below on how to tell whether a webshop is genuine).

  • If you are contacted by the paysafecard Customer Services team, they will only ever ask you for the serial number of your paysafecard, never the whole PIN.

  • Protect your paysafecard with a secret password which will then have to be entered whenever you make a payment. Protect it here.

Shopping with your paysafecard

  • IMPORTANT – currently paysafecard is not accepted as a payment method at eBay; please do not give out paysafecard details to any eBay sellers.

  • When making a purchase with your paysafecard, only enter the PIN in the payment panel on secure sites.

  • Look for the 'padlock' icon on screen, check that the website address begins https and that the certificate has been issued to “customer.cc.at.paysafecard.com”.

  • If you're not sure if a website is genuine contact paysafecard Customer Services before entering your PIN.

  • If you believe a site is fraudulent please contact us and we will investigate.
