paysafecard – better safe than sorry
To demonstrate how safe and simple paying with paysafecard is, we've prepared some useful information on the subject of security for you on the following pages.
i Details on new ransomware displaying bogus police alerts!
There is currently a virus on the internet that demands users pay a "fine" or risk having their hard drives erased. Infected computers display a pop-up window demanding a ransom or an alleged fine to be paid with - among other means - paysafecard PINs. paysafecard is currently used by neither the police or the courts as a means of payment.
Do not pay the demanded "fine"!
Should you have already paid this "fine", contact the paysafecard Service-Team immediately.
i Details on current fraudulent activities!
Recently fraudulent activities have included people being informed by telephone that they are entitled to large amounts of money. The caller impersonates a member of staff at a law firm and asks for a fee totalling hundreds of euros for the provision and delivery of legal papers. The fee should be paid to the person providing the money using paysafecard.
Do not pay any requests for delivery or provision fees!
If you have already done so or have received such a phone call, please contact your local police station.
i paysafecard is not accepted by eBay!
paysafecard is not currently an accepted method of payment for eBay!
Please do not pass paysafecard details on to eBay merchants.
