The Long Night of Companies. What awaited 60 students behind the scenes and in planning a career at a FinTech company.

The programme: two parallel panels on Marketing & Sales and IT, Product & Project Management & Operations, followed by networking over drinks and hot dogs. Plus, a farewell goodie pack.

Each team’s presentation highlighted the broad spectrum of duties and internal relationships between IT, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Distribution, Finance and Controlling. So too were the products themselves, as well as concrete job profiles and daily life at paysafecard, thematised by the questions put to the teams. Because employees from across a wide range of areas within the company – from career starters to top-level management – were involved from as early as the planning stage, I believe that a truly authentic representation of working life at paysafecard was presented.

The broad spectrum of work covered at the Vienna office was a surprise to the majority of the students. Together, specialists in their areas completing their work for 43 countries from Vienna, along with their colleagues who travel a lot, representing paysafecard locally to our international partners around the world, provided the basis for exciting questions and conversation.

As the head of HR, the authenticity of the entire team was the highlight of the evening for me. During the recruitment process it is greatly important for us to be able to determine whether we are the right fit for an applicant and vice versa. The innovative environment and the general framework of an international financial services provider mean that our jobs here are both exciting and demanding. Our corporate culture – beginning with our informal working environment, right up to our Open Doors policy and fantastic company parties – is truly unique with its dynamic multi-cultural team.

The fun had by the students and the interest they showed was a joy for the whole team. We hope we were able to communicate the enjoyment we have in our everyday work life and we look forward to The Long Night of Companies 2017 and more talent of tomorrow taking a glimpse behind the scenes here.

We’re also looking forward to applications. We are constantly growing and are always looking for new talent.
