Can I withdraw funds to someone else’s bank account?

Copied to clipboard

At PaysafeCard, we discourage the use of third-party payment instruments, such as credit or debit cards or bank accounts. You can only add and use credit/debit cards, and bank accounts in your name. Any discrepancy between the names of the PaysafeCard customer, and the ones on the card/bank account, will result in a failed transaction attempt.

However, there are certain exceptions where withdrawals to a third-party bank account may be acceptable, including:

  • Death of the account holder. In such cases the heir-at-law can contact us about the PaysafeCard balance of the deceased.
  • The account holder is a minor and does not have a bank account. Thus, the only way to take their funds out is to withdraw or refund them to the bank account of a parent or guardian.

Keep in mind that depending on the case, we would also require supporting documents and identity verification, such as an Identity Document of the third party, consent forms, Power of Attorney, death certificate, etc.
