Protect your my paysafecard account – with the 2-step login
With the 2-step login, in addition to your my paysafecard password, you also enter an additional authentication code that you generate with the free "Google Authenticator" app. This protects your my paysafecard account against unauthorized access twofold.
This is how the 2-step login works:
Install the app
Install the "Google Authenticator" app on your smartphone.
- Connect your account
Connect your my paysafecard account with the "Google Authenticator".
Enter the code
For future logins to your my paysafecard account, besides your password, you also enter the additional authentication code.
Start the 2-step login
In your my paysafecard account, click on "My details". Under "2-step login" change your status to "Protected". Instructions appear that will guide you through the activation process.
Connect your account
Connect your my paysafecard account with the "Google Authenticator". To do so, scan the barcode that is shown in your my paysafecard account. If you do not have a barcode scanner installed, you can also connect your account manually.
Enter the code
A six-digit code is now shown in the "Google Authenticator" app. Enter this number in the box in your my paysafecard account.
After entering the code, the 2-factor authentication for your my paysafecard account is activated.
Enter code during login
During every my paysafecard login, you will be requested to enter the additional authentication code after you have entered your password.
To do so, start the app and enter the code displayed. Each code is valid for 30 seconds. After this period, a new code will be automatically generated.
