Which documents can I use to prove my place of residence?
To increase your PaysafeCard account (PaysafeCard) status to "Unlimited", you will need to prove your place of residence during the verification process. The document proving your place of residence must have been issued by a State authority, a utility company or a financial institution.
It needs to contain the following information: Your first and last names, your current address, a date (e.g. Statement date, creation or expiry date, etc.) and a unique reference number (e.g. an account, invoice or customer number). Please note that the details provided for the PaysafeCard account (PaysafeCard) must coincide with the details on the document.
The address shown on the document must correspond to the physical address of your place of residence. We can unfortunately not accept a document with a PO box address, a business address or the address of a forwarding service.
If you are unable to scan your documents, you can also send us a copy by post.
The following documents are accepted as proof of place of residence:
- Bill from an energy supplier

Photo ID
A photo ID on which your place of residence is shown can be uploaded as proof of residence. This photo ID must be valid and must not be the same document used to verify your personal data. If, for example, you have used a driving licence to verify your identity, you will need to submit a further document as evidence of your place of residence, even if your current place of residence appears on the driving licence.
Tax notification
For successful verification, a tax notification must be uploaded which comes from a financial and tax authority or government responsible for your current place of residence.
Thus, we cannot accept a Spanish tax notification as evidence of a German place of residence, even if it is sent to your German address.
As evidence of your place of residence, the tax notification must have been issued in the last twelve months and contain the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- Address
- Tax or account number
- Document date

- The document must have been issued within the last twelve months.
- The document must contain your first and last names and your current place of residence.
Correspondence with State authorities on receipt of benefits
Correspondence from an authority regarding receipt of benefits (e.g. pension, unemployment, housing benefit etc.) can also be uploaded for successful registration. This correspondence must meet the following requirements:
