PaysafeCard Account Referral Terms

1. Introduction

1.1 Please read these Referral Program Terms and Conditions carefully before participating in the Program. By choosing to participate in the Program, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Program Terms and Conditions.

1.2 This referral program (the “Program”) is organised for customers resident in the European Economic Area by Paysafe Prepaid Services Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of Ireland, with its registered office at 15 George’s Quay, Dublin 2, D02 VR98, Ireland, and authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland as an electronic money institution, and, for customers resident in the United Kingdom, by Prepaid Services Company Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of England and Wales and authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (together, “Paysafe”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

1.3 These Program Terms and Conditions apply in addition to, and separately from, the PaysafeCard Account Terms and Conditions and any applicable PaysafeCard Terms and Conditions (together, the “Account Terms”). In the event of any conflict or inconsistency, these Program Terms and Conditions shall prevail solely in relation to the Program.

2. The Program

2.1 The Program is a campaign‑based referral program under which eligible existing PaysafeCard Account customers may be invited by Paysafe to refer friends to register for a PaysafeCard Account using a personalised referral link (“Invite Link”).

2.2 The Program will operate for a limited campaign period determined by Paysafe (the “Campaign Period”). The applicable Campaign Period, reward amounts, and reward limits will be communicated to eligible participants via the PaysafeCard Account interface and/or marketing communications.

2.3 Participation in the Program is by invitation only and subject to meeting all Eligibility Criteria set out in these Program Terms and Conditions.

2.4 Specific requirements, minimum spend amounts, deadlines and reward details applicable to a referral campaign will be communicated to customers as part of the relevant Campaign Period and form part of these Program Terms and Conditions.

3. How the Program Works

3.1 During an active Campaign Period, Paysafe may invite eligible existing PaysafeCard Account holders (each a “Referrer”) to participate in the Program by sharing their Invite Link with friends.

3.2 A friend who receives and uses an Invite Link (each a “Participant”) must complete all steps required under Section 4 in order for both the Referrer and the Participant to be eligible for a reward.

3.3 Subject to the applicable campaign rules:

  • each successful referral may entitle the Referrer and the Participant to a reward; and
  • a maximum number of rewards per Referrer may apply for each Campaign Period.

3.4 Paysafe reserves the right to refuse or revoke rewards where abuse, misuse, or breach of these Program Terms and Conditions is identified.

4. Eligibility Criteria

4.1 Referrer Eligibility Criteria

To participate as a Referrer, you must:

  • be at least 18 years of age;
  • hold an active PaysafeCard Account in accordance with the Account Terms;
  • have received an invitation from Paysafe to participate in the Program during the relevant Campaign Period;
  • share your Invite Link only for personal, non‑commercial purposes and in compliance with applicable marketing and anti‑spam laws;
  • not be located in, or resident in, a jurisdiction where the Program or the PaysafeCard Account is illegal or prohibited; and
  • not be an employee, contractor, or immediate family member of any Paysafe Group company.

4.2 Participant Eligibility Criteria

To participate as a Participant and qualify for a reward (the “Participant”), you must:

  • be at least 18 years of age;
  • sign up for a PaysafeCard account using a valid Invite Link during the Campaign Period;
  • successfully complete account registration and identity verification, including the required FDD upgrade;
  • complete qualifying transaction(s) during the Campaign Period which, in aggregate, meet or exceed a minimum spend amount specified for the relevant Campaign Period, such spend to be made either:
    • with a participating PaysafeCard merchant; or
    • using a PaysafeCard Account debit card (where the Participant holds a PaysafeCard Account);
  • comply with all applicable Account Terms and these Program Terms and Conditions.

4.3 Verification

For the purposes of these Program Terms and Conditions, any individual who satisfies the Participant Eligibility Criteria shall be referred to as a “Participant”.

Paysafe reserves the right to request evidence confirming that any Participant meets the applicable Eligibility Criteria and may disqualify any Participant who fails to provide such evidence within a reasonable time.

5. Qualifying Transactions

5.1 A Qualifying Transaction is a completed transaction made by a Participant using PaysafeCard or the PaysafeCard Account debit card with an eligible merchant, as defined by Paysafe for the relevant Campaign Period.

5.2 Transactions that are cancelled, reversed, refunded, charged back, or otherwise invalidated will not qualify.

5.3 Paysafe is not responsible for failures or delays caused by third‑party merchants, payment processors, or verification procedures outside its control.

6. Rewards

6.1 Where all Eligibility Criteria are met, both the Referrer and the Participant may receive a reward as specified for the relevant Campaign Period.

6.2 Rewards will be issued in the form of a PaysafeCard PIN or such other reward mechanism as communicated by Paysafe for the specific campaign.

6.3 Rewards:

  • are non‑transferable, non‑exchangeable and not redeemable for cash;
  • may be subject to expiry or usage restrictions; and
  • will only be issued to active, unrestricted and fully verified PaysafeCard Accounts.

6.4 Paysafe reserves the right to withhold or withdraw rewards where fraud, misuse, or breach of these Program Terms and Conditions is suspected. Paysafe may also withhold or refuse rewards where it reasonably determines that the Program has been used in bad faith, manipulated, or circumvented, including through multiple accounts or artificial transactions.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

7.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with Paysafe’s applicable privacy notice (https://www.paysafe.com/en/paysafegroup/privacy-notice/) and applicable data protection laws.

7.2 Before sharing an Invite Link, Referrers must obtain the recipient’s consent to receive it.

8. Changes and Termination

8.1 Paysafe may amend, suspend, or terminate the Program or any Campaign Period at any time at its sole discretion.

8.2 Any changes will be communicated via the PaysafeCard Account, email, or other appropriate channels.

9. Liability

9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Paysafe shall not be liable for any loss, damage or harm arising out of or in connection with participation (or attempted participation) in the Program, including but not limited to technical failures, system errors, interruptions, delays, unauthorised human intervention, or any error in the administration of the Program or the processing of referrals or rewards.

9.2 Paysafe shall not be responsible for any failure by a Referrer or Participant to meet the Eligibility Criteria or complete the steps required to qualify for a reward due to causes beyond Paysafe’s reasonable control, including acts or omissions of third parties such as merchants, payment service providers, banks or identity verification providers.

9.3 To the extent permitted by law, Paysafe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss or damage (including loss of profits, business, opportunity or goodwill) arising out of or in connection with the Program.

9.4 Nothing in these Program Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit any liability of Paysafe for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Statutory rights of consumers are not affected.

9.5 Paysafe shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Program Terms and Conditions where such delay or failure results from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, fire, flood, strike, war, government action, system outages or interruptions to telecommunications or network services.

10. Governing Law

10.1 If you are resident in the European Economic Area, these Program Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Irish law. This shall not prejudice the application of any mandatory regulatory or consumer protection provisions applicable in the country of your habitual residence.

10.2 If you are resident in the United Kingdom, these Program Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England.
