By putting 3 questions to employees from different areas of the company, we provide exciting glimpses into the diverse working life of paysafecard.

In addition to its headquarters in Vienna, paysafecard also has branches in Germany and Switzerland, and is now present in 39 countries around the world.

The paysafecard CISO and e-Crime Manager has answered three questions for us:

What sets the security department at paysafecard apart from the security departments at other companies?

As someone responsible for security at paysafecard, you are continually presented with new challenges arising from the fast-changing nature of the internet. To be successful, it is important to identify emerging threats, evaluate them and effectively implement necessary counter measures. The greatest challenge in this is identifying proactive security steps in order to help maintain the robustness of our services before and during attacks.

Which skills does a member of the security department need to bring with them?

Analytical skills and a lot of experience in order to be able to effectively evaluate security measures. The key factor to success is a network of international contacts serving as a global exchange of information. This is absolutely necessary for the daily challenges met at paysafecard.

Which successful project or completed task would you name as that which has had the greatest influence on your career so far?

Discussing measures against cyberattacks with experts and government authorities. It is incredibly important for both our department and for the entire company that our customers are informed about how to use our products safely. For this reason, my team created a detailed information page always available to our customers at www.paysafecard.com/security

Closing statement:paysafecard for me, typically means …

... working at a fast pace and enjoying success together.
