Copied to clipboard
Possible reasons for an unsuccessful online PIN purchase attempt include:
- Incorrectly entered gift card details: Reattempt the purchase and double check the gift card details you enter upon payment.
- Insufficient gift card balance: Ensure the online PIN amount you select does not exceed the balance of the gift card you're using for payment.
- Attempt to use an online or third-party gift card: We accept only physical CVS Pharmacy or Dollar General physical gift cards. Online or third-party gift cards are not accepted.
- Locked myPaysafe: If your myPaysafe is locked for some reason you’ll see a notification displayed on your dashboard.
- Reached transaction limits: Check our dedicated limits page for more details.
- Technical issues: Possible reasons might be refreshing your browser page while paying, leaving the payment session to expire without completing it or internet connection issues. Follow the steps below and retry the payment:
- Clear your browser's history, cache memory and cookies. If you’re using our mobile app, run your mobile device’s cache and memory cleaner.
- Make sure that your internet connection is stable. You can also try using Mobile Data instead of Wi-Fi if applicable.
- Disable any VPN or other IP masking services you might be using.
- Make sure you have installed the newest version of your internet browser or the paysafecard mobile app.
- Check for any add-ons or restrictions on your web browser that might be causing disruptions and disable them.
- You can also reattempt your purchase in a few hours.
