paysafecard creates 100 new workplaces in Vienna

Vienna, 8th May 2014 - After a record year in 2013, the world market leader in prepaid payment methods, paysafecard.com Wertkarten AG, continues on its course of grow and invests in the expansion of its headquarters in Vienna. These restructuring measures are necessary due to last year's enormous 13% increase in turnover. An additional 1,100 m² sees the company create space for a further 100 workplaces, allowing 240 people to soon be able to work there on innovative payment solutions for the digital world. As a complete subsidiary company of the Skrill Group, this progressive growth strategy and resulting expansion of its premises is authoritatively supported by the Skrill Group. Payolution, which is likewise part of the Skrill Group, will also be moving into the new premises in Vienna at the start of May.

A global success strategy

With a total turnover of €116.4 million last calendar year, paysafecard generated its highest turnover in the company's history to date. This is not least due to the resolute global strategy of the leadership team around CEO Udo Müller. The latest prominent expansion step to be implemented was the company's market entry into a new continent: Since the end of 2013, paying safely online with paysafecard is now also possible "down under" in Australia.

Growth in existing markets has also significantly contributed to the company's success.  This includes rigorous continued development of its product and service portfolio, the ongoing expansion of its sales networks, and close working relationships with international partners. Targeted partnerships with international names such as Apple, Google, Amazon and Microsoft, has seen paysafecard steadily increase acceptance of "online cash" at thousands of web shops of all sizes, for users all over the world.

Investing in human capital

As the top payments provider, paysafecard is now among the most renowned flagship companies for internationally successful businesses from Austria. Increased investment in the recruitment of new employees aims to further develop the company's position at the top of the global payments market.
Udo Müller, CEO of paysafecard.com Wertkarten AG, explains the rapid increase in personnel as the result of a current insufficiency in capacity and resources for the diverse range of opportunities, ideas and plans: "We see huge potential for our prepaid payment method, and last year's record year fully justifies this. In order to meet the growth and increasing demand for our products, we are constantly looking for motivated colleagues to work passionately with us towards the realisation of our vision of creating innovative payment prospects in this growing market."
