Why is my PaysafeCard Mastercard® transaction pending?

When paying with your PaysafeCard Mastercard®, the transaction amount is reserved from your available balance, creating a pending transaction. The transaction may remain pending until the merchant either claims the funds or cancels the payment.

In case the merchant does not collect the money within 15 business days after you instructed the payment, we will automatically return the amount back to your balance. Within that period, the funds remain secure in your Mastercard® balance, but unavailable for use until the transaction is settled. 

Note that we can release a reserved amount ahead of time only upon being presented with confirmation from the merchant that they won't claim the funds The transaction details must be explicitly stated in the confirmation, including the amount, payment date and time, merchant details, and your full name. If the payment in question is no longer visible in your transaction history, it means the transaction has expired and the funds have already been released back to your balance.
