Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 - When will it be released?
Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 doesn't have a firm release date yet. The developers would rather not announce a time period and have to postpone the title later. With any luck, the sequel will come out in 2023, exclusively for PC and Xbox Series S/X.
What is it about?
Senua's journey in the first part was a journey full of battles, blood and death. But above all, a journey into her innermost self. From an early age, the young Celtic warrior hears voices in her head, which her father and the rest of the village interpreted as a curse.
Only at the end of Senua's Sacrifice does she accept herself and the voices. The developers have not yet told us how exactly things will continue. The title and the success of the first part suggest that Hellblade will become a real series. We can certainly expect more Celtic deities, scary enemies and action-packed scenarios in and outside Senua's world.
How does Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 play?
The mixture of atmospheric scenes, battles and the insights into Senua's mental health made the first part so special. The renowned developers at Ninja Theory will stick to this with the sequel and expand the game's universe.
Particularly exciting is the use of Unreal Engine 5, which promises a whole new level of graphics performance, especially on the PC and Xbox Series X. Again, the developers don't want to reveal too much yet, but have already released a couple of trailers for a first impression of the atmosphere.
